Skatepark & Playground

Soham Town Council maintains a large large play area which was newly commissioned in 2018 which includes a travelling zip wire and easy access play equipment for 5-11 years age ranges.

There is a Skatepark on the recreation ground Fountain Lane, Soham which is well used by young adults and recently non-fixed junior size goal posts have been installed for informal recreation purposes. There is also a small area of multigym equipment near the Scout and Girl Guide building.

Please note all these facilities including the Scout and Guide building which is also located on the town council’s recreation ground are restricted by byelaws including the stipulation that no dogs, with the exception of assistance animals, are allowed within the grounds.

Soham Town Council also owns land at Kingfisher Drive which is in part currently being used by Soham Town Rangers Youth Football Team. Their lease ends in 2024 and work to transfer this club to a dedicated sports facility within Soham Village College is proposed. For further information please contact Cllr Johnston.

On another area at Kingfisher Drive a multi-surface double ended hooped and goal area is available ideal for playing 3 x 3 basketball or mini football games.
