Speed & Neighbourhood Watch Including ECDC Community Safety Partnership

The Police rely on the Public not only in reporting and providing evidence of crime but in community surveillance and resilience acting as their ‘eyes and ears’. ECDC acts in capacity under a Community Safety Partnership initiative with the Police -if you have any ongoing public safety concerns

Both Ely Community Speedwatch and Neighbourhood Watch In East Cambs for Soham requires volunteers.

Soham Town Council invested in a street light mounted speed monitoring equipment in 2019. If you want to have this installed temporarily to collect speed traffic data or for more information on setting up or joining a speedwatch group in your area please contact Cllr Horgan for further details (any static installation of monitoring equipment requires the permission of CCC Highways and may take up to 12 weeks to receive relevant permits and permissions)

Soham Town Council has in the past paid the cost of providing neighbourhood watch signs for new  schemes within the town (parish boundary). For more information in possibly setting up a neighbourhood watch scheme in your street please contact East Cambs Neighbourhood Watch Association or visit OurWatch for more information.
