The Walter Gidney Pavilion
Following refurbishment of the front part of the pavilion in 2017 (Phase I), we have been working on redevelopment of the rear hall, kitchen and toilets which have been condemned as unsafe and are no longer in use.
The rear hall was demolished in January 2024 in preparation for work on a new building to begin. The Council has appointed Andrew Fleet Architects and, as of February 2024, plans are being prepared for submission to East Cambs District Council for a new facility which will incorporate further community space, a kitchen, toilets and secure storage for our grounds equipment. A temporary portacabin is in place to provide kitchen facilities whilst re-building work takes place.
